Who Really Owns the U.S.?

If debt constituted as property, these ten countries would own a lot of land in the U.S.. They are;
  1. China with $891.6 billion
  2. Japan with $883.6 billion
  3. The U.K. with $541.3 billion
  4. Oil Exporters (15 countries, including Iran and Iraq) with $218 billion
  5. Brazil with $180.8 billion
  6. Caribbean Banking Centers with $155.6 billion
  7. Hong Kong with $138.2 billion
  8. Canada with $134.6 billion
  9. Taiwan with $131.9 billion
  10. and Russia with $106.2 billion.
Wow. If they came to collect states in 2009, we would become a land with only 40ish states. On the good side, we as Coloradoans would not be collected; Our only problems would be Nevada, Idaho, Kansas, and Nebraska. It's strange to think of what would happen if they did. Bye-Bye, U.S., hello, doom. And yes, Hong Kong is different than the rest of China, somehow.

    I'm glad that CO would not be collected. I also hope we can pay down our debts sometime soon :)

  4. yea thats pretty bad if our last resort now is giving up states although using states as payment was only an example of how much we owe but still. I wouldnt be supprised if russia tried to take alaska back as their payment though
