Demolition 'Big Rig Style' on 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition'

Have you ever seen Extreme Makover: Home Edition? If so, then you know that they always strive to demolish the house in unique ways, like dragging a house down a hill, or by blowing it up with dynamite. Well, on the most recent episode, they drove a semi truck (without the trailer) straight through the house. The families father, named Fred, is a truck driver, so this had some meaning to him, and he wanted to go help them out with the demo. The big rig was donated by designer Johnny Littlefield. He said that it was overdue for the scrap heap anyway, he just wanted to give it one last drive.
The video was underwhelming, but still pretty cool. I was expecting more, though. They drive the truck once through it, then pull it down with a couple others. Watch the video and say what you think.

How to Recycle: A 30 Day Recycling Challenge

Here are some easy tips for those of you who want to go green and recycle. They helped out many people, and could help you to!!

1. You don't need fancy recycling bins. Just re-use brown paper bags you pick at the grocery store. When you recycle your paper and plastics, you can recycle those too.

2. Easy prep. Place items that are ready to be recycled in the sink, and wash and drop them in to the recycling receptacle at the same time that you do your dishes. Then it feels like it's part of doing the dishes, rather than an extra set of chores

3. Do as much as you can, but don't overdo it. If you're too lazy to recycle a few items one day, it's okay. If you don't put pressure on yourself to be an over-the-top recycler, you're more likely to stick with it.

4. Take your recycling bags out often. You don't want to add clutter to your kitchen with bins overflowing of trash.
This is amazing. If you don't know how to recycle, this will help you start.

A Guide to Headache Remedies

Do you suffer from headaches? Then try one of these methods to get rid of them!
  1. Relaxation (before a headache happens, try stretching or deep breathing to relieve stress.
  2. Heat/Cold Therapy (with a headache try heating or cooling the hurt area. Both methods work, so use whichever one you want)
  3. Caffeine (during a mild headache, try sipping a cup of coffee. The caffeine helps calm your headache.)
  4. Peppermint Tea (during a headache with an upset stomach, try drinking some peppermint tea. It helps calm down your stomach, which may be the cause of your headache.)
  5. Over-the-counter meds (with a headache, we all know to try and take some Tylenol or Ibuprofen. Or Excedrin, since it has some caffeine in it)
  6. Acupuncture (with massive headaches comes the needles. Acupuncture's can reduce muscle tension and encourage the release of painkilling endorphins)
Of course, each treatment comes with either a warning or a recommended treatment. For acupuncture's, they say it will take at least 10 treatments to start feeling relief. For the caffeine treatment, it works better if you don't drink a cup of coffee every day. Really? Do any of these work over and over again? Probably not. I speculate about these methods.

Hundreds of angry Egyptian fans invade pitch after disallowed goal

After Egypt's soccer team, the Zamalaks, had a vital late goal called offsides, angry fans decided to blame the Algerian referee. When all of the officials decided to leave, the fans started to attack the players, each other, and light flares in the middle of the pitch. Nine people were injured, and the Zalamaks should get in trouble for this ("should"). Egypt' prime minister apoligized to Tunisia (who the Zalamaks were were playing against), the African players and the Algerian ref, and decided to have an investigation about it.
Egypt just needs to calm down. Seriously, they seem to be having a lot of trouble with everything. This incident just revived soccer tension between the two countries. Can't they just take a chill pill and calm down?!?!?!

Here is the article and a short video (watch it).
