This isn’t about pangea or the tectonic plates moving us around. No, it’s about the global population rising from 7 billion to 9 Billion. By 2050. That would be a rise of 2 billion people…in 40 years, with most of the growth focusing in the poor countries, like Africa and South Asia. We would have to produce as much food in the next 40 years as we have in the last 8,000. That’s a lot.
Honestly, has anyone thought of what the Earth would look like in 400 years? Or even 80, at this rate? Overpopulation, anyone? Nice elbow to the face while you’re in line to get your coffee from an overstuffed Starbucks? Not looking forward to it. Let’s hope we get into space before that, because it would not be fun.
Anyone else up for it?

Wow this is sad what's happening to our world... I think a great solution would be to make birth control more possible in alot of these poor countries, because a lot of these overpopulations are accidental births. Speeding up the process of being able to live on the moon would be great and exciting as well though:)
ReplyDeleteIt is sad, but living on the moon or any other planet will take awhile. my suggestion is to talk (mind u, u might think this is crazy) with the plants around us and get back into the wild lands we left behind.
ReplyDeleteyep, thats what happens, we should of been supplying these countries with means to prevent pregnencies, think ahead
ReplyDeletecool
ReplyDeleteYes-I want to fly to space. Hopefully I'll be able to in my lifetime. I'm saving my $ now :)
