How do you fail singing the national anthem? By "getting lost in the moment", apparently. Poor Christina Aguilera. She messed up the song at the Superbowl last night, and now America is sad. Lucky for her, the line that came next was the crowd catching "rockets red glare" line, initiating the crowd roaring once again. It is said that when she skipped the lines, the crowd fell into a hush, but it passed quickly. She didn't stop singing, giving a point to the saying "The Show Must Go ON!!!"
I didn't hear any messed-up lyrics, but I heard the tune go screwy, as the band realized her mistake. I was still stuck on the person before her, and my confusion at her singing "America the Beautiful", so I wasn't really paying attention. I heard that she did great at the NBA finals, so I wonder why she messed it up? What do you guy's think?

LOL! My husband was thinking the same thing...he said, "I thought Christian Ag. was supposed to be the one."
ReplyDeleteIt goes to show you that everyone makes mistakes-even the pros.
I say give her a break!!!
I'm just disappointed in her period. There isn't an excuse to botch the anthem. I mean, I can be texting and still sing it right. She had NO distractions. Therefore, no excuse.
ReplyDeleteHEHE I can't believe that. She must not love America so much to botch the National Anthem. LMAO.
ReplyDeletewho messes up the national anthem especially if you'v practiced it that much
ReplyDeleteIts in human nature to screw some things up, but not if youve had time to practice as she did. I could see getting a bit nervous and having your thoughts jumbled but, you think all those people watching her would motivate her to do better.
ReplyDeletei think she was nervous
